Maui, Hawaii | The Weather in Maui

According to some, you can’t have it all. Perhaps those folks haven’t been to Maui, which consistently lands atop
travel magazine reader polls as one of the world’s best, most romantic islands. Why? Most start with its wealth of glorious beaches in Maui and go from there: luxe resorts, friendly B&Bs, gourmet cuisine, fantastic luau, and world-class windsurfing, whale watching, snorkeling, diving and hiking. Maui, named after the demigod that drew the Hawaiian Islands up from the ocean, is the Valley Isle. Legend says that Maui captured the Sun and secured the promise of long days for the enjoyment of the people and visitors of these islands. Maui has something for everyone.
It is no wonder that this sun-drenched island has been voted the "the Best of the Hawaiian Island". Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian chain providing miles and miles of diverse cultures, climates, and landscapes.

Depending on where you are, the weather in Maui can act in a multitude of ways. For the most part, each area has a general weather pattern. Because of the warm ocean airflow, the West Maui Mountains get a lot of rain. The Iao Valley rarely sees a day without some kind of precipitation. Wailuku Town is located over here as well as some of Upper West Maui like Honolua Bay. All of these areas are lush and green due to the near-constant wet weather i ....

Ringed by 120 miles of coastline, Maui island boasts over 30 miles of beaches. Many are easily accessible beach parks with lifeguards, picnic facilities and restrooms.  Others are undeveloped, pristine, "secret spots" off the beaten path. All of Maui's beaches feature sparkling crystal-blue waters, tropical tradewinds, and azure skies that go on forever. Most of Maui's beaches have white sand but black and red sand beaches are also a part of Maui island's inventory. Several of Maui's beaches are known worldwide for unrivaled surfing and windsurfing conditions ...

Peak Season: December to March, June to August Even Santa Claus wears slippers and shorts on Maui, where
it’s 75 degrees practically every day of the year. Though winter sees slightly cooler temperatures and more rainfall, it’s still an ideal place to defrost, so prices and hotel occupancy remain high. Off Season: April to May Maui island (Hawaii) in spring is almost more appealing than Hawaii in summer, because the higher temperatures (still just around 85 degrees) are reached less frequently. Maui Hotel rates tend to be lower before the busy summer season.
Maui Sweet Spot: September to November You’ll find less people (and more available accommodations) before the holiday rush. Powerful northern swells hit the Hawaian islands in October, so it’s the perfect season for surfing. Long days offer extra sunshine to catch that one last wave of the day or extend a romantic sunset stroll into evening.
