Kauai’s weather is very unpredictable. Locals as well as visitors have given up on trying to predict what mother nature might have in store. Every year differs from the one before. Weeks of sunshine during the winter months are not uncommon, yet weeks of rain wouldn’t surprise any one who has spent time on this tropical island. You can expect an average temperature of 75F year round. The summer and spring seasons are ideal for visiting Kauai, however, it will be more crowded and slightly more expensive. As for Fall and Winter, you may be lucky and only see the occasional tropical shower, better known as Hawaiian Sunshine. Kauai is subtropical despite what its latitude would indicate. Humidity and temperatures are not as extreme as you would find in a true tropical environment. Average temperatures along the coastline stay around 80F in the spring and summer and about 75F the remaining months of the year. |
