The winter season does bring dangerous wave conditions to the north shore of the Hawaiian islands, and novice surfers and swimmer are advised to stay out of the water. Also, hurricane season in Hawaii is from May / June through October and November. Overall, Hawaii's weather is delightfully mild, with moderate humidity and gentle trade winds.
