The Weather in Hawaii | The Hawaiian islands
Hawaii is a dream destination for many people from around the world. Millions of travellers come here each year to enjoy a vacation in paradise; others make Hawaii their permanent home. There are six main islands – Oahu, Kauai, Maui, the Big Island of Hawaii, Molokai and Lanai. All of them are different and they represent the beauty of Hawaii in a unique and unforgettable way. Hawaii has it all – from tropical blue lagoons, white-sand beaches, beautiful waterfalls, lush rainforests and serene mountains, to active volcanoes and even snow (believe it or not!). Welcome to Hawaiian islands. |
Hawaii weather is mild all year round with temperatures ranging from 75F-88F. The months of April - September tend to have less rain than the months of October - March. The great thing about the weather in Hawaii is that even if a rain shower should interrupt your day, it rarely lasts more than a few min before the glorious sunshine breaks through again. |
There are really only 2 seasons in Hawaii: summer (called Kau in Hawaiian) from May to October and winter (Ho'oilo) from November to April. Many visitors are drawn to the natural beauty found in higher elevations such as Kokee on Kauai, Haleakala on Maui, or Kilauea on the Big Island of Hawaii. The winter season does bring dangerous wave conditions to the north shore of the Hawaiian islands, and novice surfers and swimmer are advised to stay out of the water. Also, hurricane season in Hawaii is from May / June through October and November. Overall, Hawaii's weather is delightfully mild, with moderate humidity and gentle trade winds. Enjoy the sunshine in the magical Hawaiian islands! |
Hawaii is one of the most famous tourist destinations all around the world. Plenty of nature, incredible landscapes
of volcanoes and mountains, the best tourist infrastructure and services, it is a place to spend amazing vacations.
You will enjoy Hawaii weather at its best if you plan your visit during the dry-season months of May through October.
The two best months to visit Hawaii and all the Hawaiian islands are June and July. The driest and sunniest locations are in the southern and western sections of the islands. Remember these two simple facts and you should enjoy mostly dry, warm weather, with only a slight risk of brief isolated showers. If you plan your Hawaiian visit during the wet-season months of November through April and May, the overall Hawaii weather patterns will be more changeable. |
